Competitive Program

JENSEN BEACH COMPETITIVE SOCCER PROGRAM

The Jensen Beach Soccer Club competitive program is comprised of individual teams made up of players selected by coaches through try-outs. This program is designed for the player that desires a higher level of training and play, and is willing to commit to additional training, practices and travel. The travel differences between the recreational and competitive programs vary by age groups. The younger teams rarely travel outside the Treasure Coast Area for league play. Several tournaments per year are sponsored right here on the Treasure Coat. It is true that the older age players travel more but most leagues ensure as many home games as away games so at least half the league play is right here in Jensen Beach!

If you child loves soccer then the competitive program will allow him or her to play almost year round instead of the three month recreational season. In addition, competitive teams tend to stay together on the same team year after year which builds adds a sense of purpose and allow for the establishment of more friendships.

Unlike the recreational program, players are not guaranteed a minimum playing time, and each team determines where and when they play. Teams raise their own operating funds, and may require additional financial commitments from the players.
